The program this year will be split into two 4 week sessions. MADski Session I runs from January 5th-Jan 26, and MADski Session II runs from Feb 2 through Feb. 23. We will have a end of year race on Feb. 23 for all participants of either session who would like to race, with awards and cake after the races. Particpants are welcome to attend both MAD I and MAD II.
The program fee is $35/day, and includes lift ticket, rental, and instruction. For season passholders, the fee is only $15 per four week session. Please arrive daily by 9:30, and register in the chalet. Lessons run from 10:00-12:00.
Busing is available through BART for $1 from Ashland and Washburn. The bus will leave the Bay Area Civic Center at 8:30 AM, and head up to the Washurn High School. The bus will depart Mt. Ashwabay at 3:30 PM and drop off at the same locations. No reservations are necessary. Click here for more BART info.
This year, we are adding an addtional MADski D-Team session, held at 1:30 each Saturday. This program is for those who have completed or are attending the advanced MADski courses, but would like to spend some time specifically focusing on racing. Those who pay for/attend Saturday morning MADski are welcome to attend at no addtional cost.
Season Passes are available online or at the chalet. Season Rental is only $99.
Central to the success of this program is parental involvement and instruction. The “MAD SKI” program will be utilizing PSIA/USSA training for our parent/coaches. This is a great chance for everyone to hone their skiing skills and learn the latest techniques and tips to make skiing easier and more fun. We will have videos and DVD’s available at Stove and Upholstery Works for all parent/coaches to sign out and review at home. (We need more help on the hill working with the kids.) Steve will work with all parents who are interested in assisting on January 5th. We offer a full day lift ticket at half day price to any parent that helps on the hill and takes the afternoon instruction.
We strongly encourage participants to stay for the afternoon and practice what they learned that morning, or relax and ski with their friends.
Full and Partial Scholarships are available upon request.
