Following a rough start with winter weather, we are starting up the Rope-tow and opening lower Exhibition and the Bunny Hill beginning Saturday, Dec. 26, 9:30-4:00.

Our crew and volunteers are continuing to make snow as conditions allow. We will be opening the chairlift and additional runs as we can. Please stay tuned for updates!

Nordic update 12/19/15

12/19/2015

::Nordic Conditions::
 -New snowfall last 24 hours: trace
 -Base: 1-2 inches
 ::Volunteer Groomer Activity Report::
 -Skate: We cleared and rolled: Telford, Anchor, Seagull and Rollercoaster.  Anchor I packed with the ginzu, which seems to have made it fairly skiable.
 -Classic: We cleared, rolled and packed: Raven, Deerpath, and Sugarbush.  There were some wet spots on Raven and Sugarbush.

Comments: If you are itching to ski, Anchor and Sugarbush out to the tin shed are in fair condition.

Unseasonable Weather Delays Winter 2015/2016 Season Start

12/14/2015

Picture
The unseasonable warm weather will be delaying the opening of Mt Ashwabay's winter activities. Snow has finally begun to fall, but we are still very far behind. The warm weather has also prevented any snow-making operations. The Mt Ashwabay Crew and Volunteers are waiting anxiously for colder temps and lower humidity to fire up the snow guns.
  • Please stay tuned for updates as conditions change.
