Unseasonable Weather Delays Winter Opening

12/14/2015

Picture
The unseasonable warm weather will be delaying the opening of Mt Ashwabay's winter activities. Snow has finally begun to fall, but we are still very far behind. The warm weather has also prevented any snow-making operations. The Mt Ashwabay Crew and Volunteers are waiting anxiously for colder temps and lower humidity to fire up the snow guns.
  • Please stay tuned for updates as conditions change.

Hunting Season Safety

11/23/2015

  • A reminder for hikers, bikers, and nature lovers:
Anyone in the woods during rifle season should wear hunter orange for safety. The trails maintained by Ashwabay criss-cross onto other public and private land, and hunting is allowed on some of those areas.
  • The 2015 rifle season runs Saturday, November 21 through Sunday, November 29
