The Mt. Ashwabay trail system covers 40 km of classic and skate skiing trails near Lake Superior in Bayfield, Wisconsin. All trails are groomed and tracked regularly by our staff and volunteers. Purchase your trail pass online or at the chalet during open hours.

Trail Hours:  Open access 24/7 with a trail pass.  If you ski after dark, please use a headlamp and ski with a phone and a buddy!

Trail passes can be purchased online, at the trailhead, or in the Chalet during open hours. Nordic skiers are welcome to come up to the chalet to change, warm up by the fire, and enjoy a brat, black bean burger, or a beer!
