Northern Lights at 1:30pm Saturday. Donn had first tracks!
Picture
Abbey Rd, the skate surface was firm and flat, less chunky that it looks.
Doug went out Saturday morning with a crew of volunteer groomers, and the trails they worked on are amazing! You might think that after two weeks of warm temps, drizzle, rain, and slushy snow things would be rough, but there is still a ton of snow and remarkably great skiing for late March.  In fact great by any standards.

Skating:
Abbey Rd to the Tin Shed is great, but the skate lane is very rough from the Tin Shed to the Sugarbush.
Northern Lights is fantastic skating from the Sugarbush to the top of the ski hill, no tracks yet.
Skid Rd and part of Jolly groomed (and tracked).

Parts of Anchor and Seagull groomed (and tracked).

Classic:
Sugarbush Classic has new tracks.

Tracks are set all the way to the Sugarbush on Abbey Rd.
Deer Path and other classic trails not tracked yet.
Parks of Anchor, Jolly and Skid Road have tracks.

The Buzz has NOT been groomed recently, and makes for an adventurous descent, it might be better to backtrack on Northern Lights to Seagull.  Or if you are very brave you could go down the ski hill...

We have lots of snow and when it gets colder Saturday, March 26th we intend to set some tracks and revive some skate lanes. Abbey Road, the Anchor trails, Jolly Long to Skid Road,  Northern Lights, and Seagull are what we are going to go after. Give us some time on Saturday morning and then come out for what is likely to be a great week of skiing! Thanks to our volunteer groomers!

The temps are warming but there is still a ton of snow out on the nordic trails.Monday and Tuesday we reset tracks and combed skate lanes.  With the warming temperatures it was difficult to set tracks in full depths in many places.
