Sunday Nordic Update

Doug about to head up Seagull.
(OKGroomers are heading out now to groom the new snow that fell overnight. Winter just keeps coming!!

Classic: It will take a few passes to get the trails ready to set tracks, so you may want to wait until later in the morning if that is what you are looking for.  It will be a beautiful morning for classic touring if you like snow in the trees and a more leisurely pace and don't mind making your own tracks!  Chuck is packing the classic only trails so we can reset tracks later in the day (or tomorrow).  Tracks will be reset on the skate/classic trails after the skate lanes are groomed (see below)

Skate: Doug is just about to head out with the Pisten Bully (!) which will make a solid skate deck on Northern Lights, Abbey Road, Skid Road and the top of Jolly.   Skating should be great by late morning/early afternoon once the trail has set up a bit.

The snow is wet and the temp is 20 degrees F, so everything should set up hard and fast! (Update, this was wishful thinking... it warmed right up and stayed pretty soft...)
