Looking ahead Sunday's forecasted temperature is too high. All users please get off the trail by mid day until re-freeze Sunday night.

​Good Afternoon Skiers.


This morning the classic tracks were reset on Northern Lights, Sugar Bush, and Oppedahl’s.  

The “Summit Race” is Saturday morning and the conditions are looking fabulous and we couldn’t be more excited!  This is the first year the racers will climb the new Northern Lights trail to the “Summit”.  After “Summiting” the racers will then descend the Seagull ravine, Switch Back, and Roller Coaster before finishing in front of the Chalet. This should be a great event and your welcome to ski out to cheer on the racers. The kids start at 9:30.

A couple of request regarding the “Summit Race”.

First the trails will be closed Friday evening. Please be off the trails by 6:00 so the groomers can prepare the course and allow it to freeze overnight so the races can enjoy our finest grooming possible.

Secondly because the race course uses large sections of Abbey Road we request  Walkers, Snowshoers, Skijor’s, and all Dogs stay off the trails until 2:00 PM Saturday.

​Another beauty day on Ashwabay Nordic Trails.  Temps were in the mid twenties with partly sunny skies. As you can see the trails are in excellent condition with the “Summit Race" scheduled for this Saturday. 

All the skate/classic trails were groomed this morning (Wednesday) and the classic only trails were groomed Monday.  We will be prepping the trails for Race grooming late Friday evening which should be fantastic for the race.

Besides the “Summit Race” this Saturday mark your calendar for February 29th for the Grand Opening of the new and expanded trails celebration.   See you on the trails!

The trails have been groomed but we ask that you wait to ride until Sunday. They are soft due to the warm temps and they should freeze up tonight.
