A beautiful crisp day for MADSki! We got a couple of inches of fresh snow last night. The sides of the trails were left ungroomed!!
We've continued to get a few inches of lake effect snow throughout the week, and trails are so beautiful. Tracks were reset on all of the classic trails mid-week, and the Abbey Road/Northern Lights/Buzz loop was groomed. The Jolly and Anchor loops were groomed Friday afternoon. It was snowing pretty heavily on Friday evening, so you may find some new snow on top of the trails in the morning. Expect a winter wonderland! Don't forget to come on up to the Chalet after your ski for a hot drink, some food, or a beer! We have an outdoor food service window and a outdoor fire pit if you prefer not to go inside. (Masks required in the Chalet)
Most of the trail system was groomed last night: Abbey Road, Jerry Jolly, Anchor, Seagull, Northern Lights and the Buzz. Trails may set up overnight and reward those who ski in cold conditions. Classic trail Deer Path has not been tracked yet but is very skiable after being rolled and dragged.
(Ian Meeker) All trails have been rolled and flat dragged. The trails that have been groomed are Anchor, Sea Gull, and parts of Northern Lights. A groomer is going out now to set tracks on Sugar Bush classic.
Update: Huge effort by our grooming volunteers to get this snowpack worked in. Sugarbush classic has fresh tracks set. Abbey road has fresh tracks. Seagull and Anchor and part of Northern Lights had tracks set last night. Poles plants for skaters look to be holding just fine. Scenery is “off the hook”! Come out and enjoy some great Nordic skiing. More trails will be finished off as crews get to doing their magic. |
