Happy Holidays from Mt Ashwabay!
The Chairlift and Rope-tow are OPEN today Dec 27 with a flurry of new snow yesterday. The snow-base is still thin, so be cautious. Hope everyone had a joyous Christmas!

Our crew and volunteers are continuing to make snow as conditions allow. We will be opening additional runs as we can. Please stay tuned for updates!

 ::Ashwabay Crew and Volunteers have been hard at work, and snowmaking and grooming operations are on-going throughout the day, so be cautious. Grooming equipment and snowguns may be moving around the slopes. Please take care, and always ski/board under control.
  ::Alpine Conditions::
 -New snowfall (last 24hrs) 3"
 -Base: 2-10 inches variable
 -Chairlift and Rope-tow both open
 -Runs are being opened as conditions allow
 -Hemlock and The Drop remain closed awaiting natural snowfall
 ::Freestyle Terrain::
 -We're waiting on more snow before Crew and Volunteers begin setting boxes, rails, and other features on Little Willie beside the Rope-tow. If you'd like to help, please ask Hill Operations.

 Coming up at Ashwabay:

Nordic Update 12/25/15

12/25/2015

::Nordic Conditions::
 -New snowfall last 24 hours: <1 inch
 -Base: 3-4 inches
 ::Volunteer Groomer Activity Report::
 -Skate: I groomed with the 84" ginzu: Telford, Anchor, Seagull and Rollercoaster.
 -Classic: I tracked: Telford, Anchor, Seagull Rollercoaster, and Sugarbush Classic.

Comments: It was a little soft yet when I skied after grooming, but the skate trails had full depth tracks and good cover.  Sugarbush was good out to the tin shed, but had some thin spots (wet spots) around the loop.
