2/26 Virutal Birkie Grooming Update

Early this Friday morning the Skate lanes were combed on Abbey Road, Anchor, Roller Coaster, Jolly, Northern Lights, and Buzz. Anchor and roller coaster. The classic tracks were mostly ice, will be fast and treacherous down hill till it warms up (probably OK by noon). Groomed plans are to attempt to reset the Classic tracks early Saturday morning hoping for find that golden hour when we can set good tracks for the weekend but the warm temperatures make setting good tracks very tricky.  Skating is excellent, classic is a mixed bag, mostly good but the sun exposed areas glaze easily above freezing. Base is holding up well 6-12 inches, no thin spots on the trail.

Good luck, skiers!  Classic tracks are fast and icy, but will soften up as the temps warm today.
