50 some years ago Doc Telford and friends started Cross Country skiing at Mt. Ashwabay. Countless hours of trail work, contributions of hundreds of people, and lots of snow allows me today to take a picture of an almost perfect trail. Note the snow bank on the left.
It may look perfect but it’s still a little on the soft side until we groom again. As of Tuesday night (after lots of work by many volunteers) all the trails except for Jolly, Skid Road, Deer Path, and Black Bear are groomed and tracked. Most will ski very well, some softer than others but we are getting just a little spoiled this year. Comments are closed.
